Life is rough, so they say

With camp the kiddos have gone to bed earlier. Which typically means they wake earlier. We are so tired we try to get them to go back to sleep ;). Riggs woke up first (a few minutes before 6am) and I put him in our bed. Then Avery woke up and Tim got her back to sleep on the sofa. All for an extra hour of sleep ;)

Pooptastophre

I spent a good part of the morning detailing this car for Evelyn to start using. Shortly after taking this picture she had a pooptastophre!!! It was everywhere. She obviously didn't think I had done a good enough job ;)

Ice Cream after day two of camp!!

And a surprise visit from Taunte Clair!!! The kids thought it was super cool that she rode her bike to Borden's!!

Accidents Happen...and Happen.

Lately Riggs has been having accidents. Partially because we aren't reminding him to go, and because he gets to the bathroom but not soon enough. I think part of the reason is he wants some attention. So needless to say my laundry has increased.

The other day he had a poop accident. And bless his heart he looked up at me and said "accidents happen, it's ok". And yes it's ok but man, poop on me is not cool. He was wearing swim trunks and so when he stood up and I grabbed him poop went dropping onto the floor right before I stepped in it. It was on my leg, his leg, my feet, the floor.... Yucky!

My Big Girls First Haircut

After three years and five months we decided it was finally time to cut Avery's hair. I had been wanting to do it for a while but had to wait until after her dance revue (because her hair had to be in a bun).

 You would not know that she was very excited to have her hair cut :)

Tonight Evelyn had real green beans and pasta. She might have made a funny face but she kept eating ;)

Handkerchip

Riggs combines a perpetually runny nose with daddy's preference for always having a handkerchief on hand. We haven't found one small enough to fit into his little pocket yet. But "I need a handkerchip" is about the cutest phrase in our house right now.

Yesterday...

My baby girl made 8 months old. I gotta start planning her birthday party!!!

My sweet little man

Riggs told me tonight (again) that he wanted a bed like Les with a top and a bottom. I told him the loft bed was his new bed and that when he has friends sleepover we will set up pallets under his bed. I then
asked him which friends he wants to sleep over first. He said, Les, Chloe, Vivi and Luke! So sweet.

School is exhausting!

My baby girl is sitting up!!!

She has been able to kind of sit up here and there but would topple over after a little bit.

MDO had been asking for me to bring a boppy so she could practice and if she toppled fall on the pillow.

I brought the boppy this morning and sat her down with toys. She just sat and played and didn't topple at all!!! I'm so proud of her!

She will be 8 months in one week!!

Impromptu play date at Chick Fil A after school

Nanny Ashley called to see if we could do dinner with them after school...timing was perfect. I had no idea what I was fixing for dinner so it was the perfect idea. And because it was kids night they had an arts and crafts area!

Today I had Chloe while the kids were at Guchereau's. I felt guilty not having them so Chloe and I went to pick them up after their lunch and we went to have Sno balls!!! I am gonna love these memories!!!

Derby Day

Evelyn got to watch her first derby with Daddy! And mommy picked her first Derby winner!!!!
