Tee Ball Time!

Finally the season begins! I think Riggs has been waiting for this day for 6+ months!!! He loved every second. Avery (thankfully) loved it too!!!

We have our jamboree this weekend!! Can't wait! Go Astros!

Masters and Monster trucks!

Riggs thoroughly enjoyed the fact that gold was to be watched for hours. First thing Sunday morning he came to our room. Insisted we turn the lights off and the tv on. Golf Channel is on he responds: I want to watch golf not talking about golf!


Avery and I headed to target while the boys watched golf...and we saw a giant truck in the parking lot!

Week one of swim school

Avery has been such a sweet heart lately. She really is becoming a little lady.

I just had to drop something off at Reach and she raised her hand and asked her teacher if she could give me a hug an a kiss.

Her hug is so tight and meaningful and her kiss is so genuine. She then whispered in my ear : I love you more than a ton!

Happy Easter

We are thankful for the Easter weekend we got to spend in New Orleans with Nana, PopPop, Aunt Angela and our cousins Merritt, Nathan and Nick!

Daddy was heading to Oakbourne to play in the Member Guest...we decided that meant donuts for us! Evelyn joined us but unfortunately my phone had no more room for pictures :(

First Girlfriend

And it's official. Riggs has his first girlfriend. Her name is Ashlyn Romero. She is 18 months younger and he is head over heals.

I asked him tonight why she was his girlfriend. "Because I love her" and "I kissed her at the Piccadilly"

Bad Abi

Last night Abi snapped at Riggs while the babysitter was here. The skin wasn't broken and he seemed fine.

Well this morning Riggs asked me to draw a dog after he had tried and wasn't pleased with his work. I drew my best dog (which is pretty lame). He then took the paper drew a circle around the dog with a big x! The wrote x Abi. I asked him what he was doing and he said its his no abi sign. :(

I am hoping it doesn't happen again.

I knew she was awake but she wasn't fussing on the monitor. Then I heard the loudest noise and I about jumped out of my skin! I stated at the monitor and I saw her looking out the window. She didn't even notice me walking into the room because she was so focused on the storm!

The fox and Grandpa Kerry

Riggs was international correspondent at school today, which means he had to get up in front of class and say something about international affairs. Tim spent some time last night showing him (and Avery) online clips of Obama's press conference of his nomination of John Kerry as Secretary of State, and trying to explain to them what the SOS does and how he meets with people all over the world and works for the president. Avery was more interested in the whole thing than Riggs and she made some comments that were pretty funny. First, as soon as she sees Kerry on CNN, she says she likes him. "Why?" Tim asks. "Because he looks like a grandpa," which I suppose is true enough. But when coverage rolled back to the CNN newsroom and Wolf Blitzer, she wanted to know who he was and what he was all about. Tim said that, well, he's a reporter - sort of like an international correspondent, to try to tie him into the exercise. When we saw him again, she said "there's the fox again!" "Fox? Do you mean Wolf?" "Yeah, the Wolf!"

Back to school

I told Avery I would wake her up tomorrow for school. She responded with: Don't wake me up! I will cry if you wake me up. I want to wake up alone (meaning on her own)!

I think they are ready...Avery even remembered to lay her clothes out!

Sick. Sick. And sick.

Day after Christmas and we have a sick household! Avery went to bed Christmas night with a fever and woke up to wetting the bed (this ONLY happens when she is sick).

Evelyn had been out if sorts all weekend. And well Riggs just seemed off, wouldn't eat anything. So I called the doc and was able to get in...

I told them in my professional mommy opinion we had one ear infection, one flu and one strep. Guess what, I was right!

My favorite line today: AKR: (screaming at me) Mommy get away from me. You have germs. I don't want your germs. You made me sick!
