A letter from Abi

Hello Mudda, hello Fadda,

I am here at Camp Growing May Flowers.
Camp is very entertaining.
And they say we'll have fun when Maggie and I stop fighting.

I went to pick the kids up from school.  It was exhausting.

But the wind in my hair couldn't have felt any bedda.
Aunt B is lazy.  We do lots of snuggling.

It makes Maggie jealous.  I just ignore her!

The weather is perfect.  We spend the afternoons outside playing.
Which is good because our bedtime here is 7:30!

Hope y'all are having fun in Kentucky!
Love,
Abi

Big Week for my little man

This week Riggs perfected saying Aaaa...Bi! Officially both of my children used the dogs name as their first real word. When I picked him up from school on Tuesday he just kept saying Abi, Abi, Abi. Occasionally Avery would chime in. It's so cute how they say it. I promise to get video soon.

Then yesterday Tim and I left for a weekend in New Orleans...not 10 minutes later Riggs decided to start walking!!! He has been prepping for this for a couple of days. Doing squats, free standing, wall walking, etc.

By the time we get back I am sure he will be running!

Bud Baby Vintage Style

This afternoon we headed to an Easter Crawfish boil. I decided to dress the babies in vintage Bud Baby tshirts that were me and Trey's when we were little.

Me and My BUD babies!
Uncle Scott, Avery, and Uncle Buddy - She gets her hair from them!
What a Ham!

Dinner with the May Flowers

Avery, can I please have a bite? - Maggie
I don't know, what do you thing Aunt B? - Avery
Nahhhh!
(Notice Maggie's drool!)
Handsome Riggs

While I was taking a few shots of Riggs, Avery was not happy about it.  She started demanding that I look her way and was YELLING at me.  So, I turned and saw this face....
Hey Aunt B!  Aren't I adorable?!
And a total ham!
Oh, my sister is such a diva! - Riggs

Standing Ovation

Well it's official, Riggs can stand all by his big boy self. He has been cruising and using the walkers for months now but never has he just stood there, freestand style. I figured once Avery started walking he'd get more interested. Nope. It took a weekend with Ryker and Avery walking all around him to realize he is missing out.

Attention grabber!

On Monday, Anne and I helped out Angie and Blake by watching their two kids for the afternoon.  Even with eight kids under our care, Avery seemed to steal the show!

She had no clue she was much younger than those big girls and wanted to be right there in the mix.  She even managed to get my 90 pound Lab under her spell!
Being a big girl is so much fun!
Now, what do I do with this?
Oh, throw the ball.
Maggie, sit!
Hey Maggie!  I got your ball thrower!
Love how Maggie is just sitting and waiting for Avery to use the Chuck-it!

After playing outside, it was time for dress-up and Little Miss just had to get in on the fun.
Looking adorable in Charlotte's dance costume
My future's so bright...
She may not have any hair upon that sweet little head of hers, but she sure does have some stunning eyelashes!
Aunt B, don't make fun of my hair!
I am just too cute for words.
And a total ham, too!
You talkin' to me?
Just call me Princess Avery

So happy to be with Aunt B.
Avery, really, you like me!  Where is that adorable smile!?

Our First "Real" Shoe Shopping Experience

This afternoon Dearie and I took the kids to Greenwoods to get some real shoes. I am hoping that the fancy shoes will help Riggs start walking. Avery had a field day looking at all the shoes - but especially playing with the floor to ceiling mirrors.
