Sick. Sick. And sick.

Day after Christmas and we have a sick household! Avery went to bed Christmas night with a fever and woke up to wetting the bed (this ONLY happens when she is sick).

Evelyn had been out if sorts all weekend. And well Riggs just seemed off, wouldn't eat anything. So I called the doc and was able to get in...

I told them in my professional mommy opinion we had one ear infection, one flu and one strep. Guess what, I was right!

My favorite line today: AKR: (screaming at me) Mommy get away from me. You have germs. I don't want your germs. You made me sick!

Acadian Village

We had a great evening! The kids loved all the lights! Dearie and Joana joined in on the holiday fun! They have been almost every year with us!

We started at Piccadilly...and as usual the kids made happy plates. It really is their favorite restaurant!

Avery wasn't too keen on the idea riding the horses on the carousel. Riggs on the other hand loved it! They rode the train twice! They also loved watching the performers and listening to the choir.

Evelyn had a great time but couldn't hang all night...so Tim came to pick her up so I could enjoy some time with the twins!

She wants a pair...

Someone is very much into being a big girl. She was determined to figure out how she could wear my jimmy choo's!! After quite the conversation she told me she wanted heels.

Thanksgiving Feast at Reach

Today we celebrated thanksgiving at the Reach Institute. It was so sweet to hear what all the kids were thankful for! Riggs is thankful for his lovies, Mimi and PaPa. Avery is thankful for Mommy, Daddy, Riggs, Evelyn and Dearie. (Nana and PopPop they may not have mentioned you at school but they say there prayers every night and say they are thankful for y'all!)

Surprisingly Avery did not stand up and enjoy the center of attention and speak to the class. Riggs on the other hand used his big boy voice. I was very proud!

Both kids made pilgrim and Native American costumes. Then this morning they chose who they wanted to be, Avery, Pink Owl with Curly Hair, chose to be an Indian. Riggs was a pilgrim. His Native American name is boy who loves his lovies!

Two addictions.

Evelyn is starting to really express her self. She is definitely able to communicate with us. If she sees a lovie she screams, grunts, moans until it is in her hands. If she sees Riggs holding his she fusses until he gives it to her.

And her beloved nunu. She wasn't addicted in the beginning. Just liked it. Well now you can almost always find her sucking on one and holding one. I think the major pro here is she doesn't stick all that much in her mouth...unless she is without a nunu!

The kids are laying in my bed watching tv. Laughing away. It is by far the sweetest sound. Then Riggs said to Avery: that is so funny!

Evelyn's first word!!

It's official Evelyn can say ball! She can go and get the ball. Point it out in a book. She must hang out with Riggs a lot ;)

Avery is waking up as I type this...

First sounds out of her mouth: ABC... She seriously loves learning!

These are a couple of pictures of some of her writing over the past weekend. She is so determined to get them perfect. She wrote her babysitters names. And then she also wrote our family names!

I have white pumpkins and she said: mommy, white makes the wah sound. How do you spell white? I told her and then continued with my chores. She proceeded to write it. Then re write it so it fit better on the page. Riggs then copied an wrote it as well!

My Big Girl!!

Avery woke up this morning at 7:10. Proceeded to the bathroom. Then I heard on the monitor that she was back in the room. I hear some rustling but didn't know what was going on. A few minutes later she walked into my room and said "I already got my clothes and panties for today!"

I could get used to this style of waking up!

Day 1 of our fall break

Great Day! Even with a Hirt back we managed to have an eventful day!

Story time at the library! I especially love Avery choice outfit. Evelyn needed all three lovies all morning. Thankfully brother and sister didn't mind sharing.

After seeing my white pumpkins Avery was full of questions. "White makes the waaa sound. What letter is that? How do you spell white?"

I gave her answers and moved on. She proceeded to write out the word from memory. Then rewrote it so it would be centered. The paper all the way to the right is Riggs writing white! They are baby geniuses ;)

And then a little tv time!

We also went to cousin Les' tee ball game. Riggs can not wait to play!
