Riggs. Our All Star.

For the past few weeks repeat Riggs has been saying "when will daddy take off my training wheels?!" "I want to play tennis, can you get me a tennis racket?!" When this boy wants something he is relentless.

So last week I bought the kids rackets. Obviously Avery can't participate but Riggs has been all over it. Our neighbor Carson showed Riggs how to hit the ball. Of course it came naturally to him!

I signed him up for Saturday mining lessons at Oakbourne. He LOVED it! He said he lost because he didn't get it over the net...but that he would keep practicing! Love his spirit.

Well this morning he insisted that Tim take off the training wheels. Tim did and of course within five minutes Riggs was riding with no training wheels!!! We are so proud of him!

Spring 2013

First Tee Ball Game

I'll have to post some action shots from Tim's phone!

Tee Ball, Broken Finger and one tough cookie

Tuesday night we went out to Broussard for our tee ball game. You can imagine one mommy, three kids and two tee ball bags running to get to the field on time.

Thankfully Tim wasn't too far behind us. The first inning went well with Avery batting first then Riggs. Both did awesome. (They have some natural talent!)

Second inning comes and Avery hits...tosses her bat and begins to race to first base. Then she falls and (we think) her face mask on her helmet lands smack on her left pinky finger. Screaming begins. Tim runs onto the field and grabs our angel. She was in serious pain.

We have three doctor daddies on the team. One was there and at first sight suggested ER. I immediately took her from Tim, grabbed ice and raced back to town. She stopped crying before we got to the concession stand. She is so tough.

After X-ray. And then consultation the day after we knew she'd have to go under to have it popped back in place. We are so blessed to have many doctor friends to take care of us and more importantly our baby girl!

This morning all went very well and we are home resting. Hoping for a speedy recovery!!

Tee Ball Time!

Finally the season begins! I think Riggs has been waiting for this day for 6+ months!!! He loved every second. Avery (thankfully) loved it too!!!

We have our jamboree this weekend!! Can't wait! Go Astros!
